The one who cuts off his head is given instructions on the radio. This man then decapitates the prisoner lying on the ground. Above him stands another with a white bandage on his leg. In the video, a man is lying on the ground, dressed in a military uniform, which has a yellow band on his sleeve. The hands of the dead soldiers are also cut off.
Įarlier, on 8 April, pro-Russian Telegram channels began to distribute another video with beheaded Ukrainian soldiers: it shows two headless corpses of Ukrainian soldiers lying on the ground next to a broken armored vehicle. At 22:40 it was distributed by Vladislav Pozdnyakov, founder of Male State, an extremist political party in Russia. The first known publication of a video where the head of a living soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was cut off occurred 11 April 2023 at 22:24 Moscow time. The Proekt called the video the most brutal during the war in Ukraine, emphasizing that in the past such executions were carried out only by members of the Islamic State.
The video was then circulated through pro-Russian sources.
